Tuna cakes

A simple can of tuna is as humble as it is versatile. Why not try our recipe for delicious tuna cakes? This recipe serves four.

INGREDIENTS: potatoes (approx. 400 g) 50 g butter can of tuna in water 3 spring onions, finely chopped 1 tbsp. capers 1 tbsp. tarragon or dill 1 lemon 4 pita breads 3 tbsp. mayonnaise

lamb’s lettuce flour salt and pepper to taste

METHOD: Peel the potatoes, cut into small chunks, and boil until tender. Drain and puree. Stir in half the butter and season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside and allow to cool. Combine the tuna with the spring onions, capers, tarragon or dill, and a few drops of lemon juice. Add this mixture to the puree and form into small discs. Flour the discs and fry them in a pan until golden. Fill the pita breads with some lettuce, the tuna cake, and a dollop of mayonnaise.
